Merlene has been a geekette since 1994 when she built her first computer piece by piece and began creating websites and is also a freelance writer, social media & blog consultant and internet marketer.
Partnered with Randy Matheson since 2008, Merlene has created a daily music video blog, Daily Earworm, a cocktail blog, Madtini – The Virtual Cocktail Party, andt’WestofTO, a social media event group.
Merlene Paynter was the Director of Content for Human Business Works with Chris Brogan from September, 2010 to April, 2011.
Merlene was part of the Walmart Moms (ElevenMoms) program from 2008 to 2010 and was a columnist and sometime Technical Director of Digital Eve Canada’s iDEa/iDEe ezine in the early 2000s.
Merlene grew up in Nova Scotia and now currently lives near Toronto, Canada with her 2 kids, 2 cats and a very large pot of coffee. Usually awake by 5am and asleep by 9pm – Merlene hasn’t worn a watch in years, has no intention of wearing one ever again, and is living proof that lifestyle design is not a myth.
